The Upper West Side Jewish community is still as vibrant as its illustrious past. During this 2.5 tour, learn about Judaism, its rites and rituals, the sects, and traditional foods. The tour includes stops at synagogues with a brief overview of their founding and religious practices, e.g., orthodox. Browse through the only remaining neighborhood Judaica and bookstore and enjoy a total of six (6) tastings of kosher/kosher-style foods at three popular stores.

Stroll along the Upper West Side's main thoroughfare to find out what makes it an attractive neighborhood for Jewish families. Learn about traditional Jewish food and enjoy a total of seven tastings from Zabar's, the Kosher Marketplace and Murray's Sturgeon Shop. Visit the only remaining store selling Judaica items and their significance in religious practices.
There will be time to make purchases of food and other items at each of the stores.
Tour ends at about 2:30pm at West 92nd Street and Broadway, close to the 96th Street #1, #2 and #3 subway lines.
