The Cobblestone Museum consists of seven major historic buildings including the oldest cobblestone church (1834) in North America, a cobblestone house (1836), which was once owned by famous publisher Horace Greeley. A third cobblestone building is the Cobblestone Schoolhouse (1849) made of small lake-washed stone.  Four wooden buildings complete the campus and include a working blacksmith shop, print shop, harness shop and Farmers Hall (an exhibit of 19th century farm tools).  A guided tour is offered in each of our buildings throughout the day ... The Cobblestone Museum consists of seven major historic buildings including the oldest cobblestone church (1834) in North America, a cobblestone house (1836), which was once owned by famous publisher Horace Greeley. A third cobblestone building is the Cobblestone Schoolhouse (1849) made of small lake-washed stone.  Four wooden buildings complete the campus and include a working blacksmith shop, print shop, harness shop and Farmers Hall (an exhibit of 19th century farm tools).  A guided tour is offered in each of our buildings throughout the day. Children to age 12 are free with accompanying adults.

Come explore the Cobblestone Society Museum, a National Historic Landmark in Orleans County, located on historic Ridge Road. Guided tours are led by one of our experienced docents. Tours can be tailored to fit the interests of your group, and are available from 11am-5pm Wednesday through Saturday, and from 1pm-5pm on Sunday. (Last full campus tour begins at 4pm.)

The Cobblestone Museum is an open-air museum that promotes the study and exploration of cobblestone construction methods from 1825 to 1860, offering visitors the opportunity to explore three period cobblestone structures set in Victorian appearance and four wood structures highlighting 19th century agricultural implements and skilled trades.
